Guidelines
- Prior to the photoshoot, a planning session is held to determine expectations, wardrobe, hairstyle, and make up
- Wear loose clothing before the photoshoot
- Drink plenty of water before the photoshoot, but no alcohol
- Discuss sample poses in the planning session, and practice accordingly – it’s up to you to pose in your own personal way
- When photographed, vary smiles, facial expressions, and body positions – don’t always look at the camera
- In standing positions, place your weight on one of your feet
- In sitting positions, place your weight on your back hip or thigh
- Try to tuck your stomach in as much as possible
- Turn off your phone
- Take you time and be comfortable – don’t hesitate or be afraid to ask questions
- Photoshoots begin with portrait-style shots and then move to a range of close ups and wide angle shots
